Globally, the firm aspires to grow their topline 3x in the next five years.Job DescriptionThe Business Development Manager, APAC is responsible for driving direct and distributor sales of flare measurement technologies into demanding industries such as O&G and petrochemicals. They operate with a lean global team, so the role will be responsible for end to end strategy, implementation, and business development in APAC.Reporting to the Business Development Director, APAC this role is responsible for:Leading sales in APAC by bringing new O&G relationships to the groupManaging existing distributor and direct relationshipsBuilding a strategic growth plan for the businessTarget regional EPC companies to enlist on their approved vendor listsPartner with internal stakeholders to identity and convert cross selling opportunities in other geographic regionsHaving a strong understanding of competitors in the industry and identify potential market expansionOwn the regional business plan covering inventory and productionProvide market insights to the product management team to ensure the business is innovating to suit customer needsQuarterly reporting to the Group Managing Director on market risks, opportunities, and forecastingThe Successful ApplicantMasters' or Bachelors' Degree in mechanical, industrial or a related technical disciplineFour or more years in selling flare measurement technologies to heavy industries, with at least two years in an APAC roleStrong distributor relationships in the regionExisting network for Oil & Gas, petrochemicals customers with at least two years of selling to enterprise clientsExperience in driving consistent double digital growth for a high value products, with a strong knowledge of CRM toolsThe role requires frequent overseas travel in APAC: we estimate 50% travel in the first two yearsWhat's on OfferOur client, a leading specialist player, has a history of close to fifty years in making flare gas measurement technologies for high value industries that place significant emphasis on process, safety and accuracy.
