About Our Client

Our client is a reputable commodities trading company with ambitious growth plans in the region. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and compliant flow of mining commodities across global markets. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the documentation lifecycle within commodity trading, be experienced in managing multi-jurisdictional compliance requirements and have excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end documentation processes for international shipments of mining commodities (e.g., copper, cobalt, iron ore, etc.)
  • Ensure timely preparation, accuracy and completeness of all trade documentations.
  • Oversee compliance with relevant international trade laws and regulations.
  • Act as the liaison between traders, logistics, freight forwarders, banks, suppliers and customers to coordinate and troubleshoot document related issues
  • Monitor and implement changes in global trade regulations impacting the company's import/export operations
  • Maintain and improve documentation control systems, SOPs and audit trails for internal and regulatory compliance



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in trade documentation and compliance within a commodities trading or mining company
  • Solid knowledge of international trade documentation standards and global shipping practices
  • Familiarity with customs regulations in key trading regions (e.g., China, EU, USA, APAC)
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive transactions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/ trade management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle or specialized commodities platforms)
