About Our Client

Client is a Hong Kong headquartered fintech firm specializing in electronic trading of bonds and derivatives, including options, ETFs or CFDs. Their proprietary trading technology, data-driven strategies as well as strong shareholders background have positioned them as a competitive player in Asia's capital markets. As part of their expansion strategy, they are setting up operations in Singapore and are seeking a seasoned trading professional to take on a leadership role.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the Responsible Officer for the company's Singapore entity
* Oversee the establishment of the firm's trading and compliance infrastructure in Singapore.
* Lead and expand trading operations in Singapore, working closely with the HQ team in Hong Kong.
* Develop and execute trading strategies across derivatives, options, and ETFs.
* Ensure full regulatory compliance with MAS requirements, internal risk controls, and market best practices.
* Serve as the key point of contact with regulators, institutional partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Build and lead a local team of traders and operations professionals.

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements:
* At least 10 years of trading or sales experience in derivatives, options, ETFs, or fixed income products.
* Prior experience in a licensed financial institution or proprietary trading firm.
* Strong understanding of Singapore's regulatory landscape; ideally previously approved as a RO under MAS, or eligible and willing to take on this responsibility.
* Demonstrated experience managing or growing a trading desk or business unit.
* Excellent understanding of trading platforms, risk systems, and market structure.
* Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and high ethical standards.
